So, realized my last update was last week ... as a blogger, this is a problem. However, sometimes life just gets in the way. Over the last week, I have really been putting things into perspective and working on my schedule. I was writing articles (for pay), working on my business, working my Mary Kay, and trying to figure out what would happen if Uber left Kansas City.
I realized that I have been working way over 40 hours a week and I was left feeling extremely overwhelmed (not to mention tired). I felt frustrated because we weren't getting to where I wanted to be on the financial front. Jeremy and I have been discussing our future and struggling to get everyone on the same page. Then we got the word that Uber was not only STAYING in Kansas City, but they were also expanding to Leavenworth, Lawrence, Topeka, and Manhattan. This gave me the ability to really settle in and figure out my routine.

After talking to Jeremy and my older sister, we came to a game plan. One that I am super comfortable with and also very excited about. I will officially drive between 10pm and 3am daily, and then I will also write a couple of articles a day. We are looking at me working no more than 40 hours a week between everything, which is very reasonable. It also allows me to feel OKAY about napping when my kids nap, cleaning, playing, and doing whatever I want during the day.
So ... what else has been going on? Well, we have been dealing with allergies and my youngest is just really getting slammed. It's almost like she has narcolepsy. She will be doing great and then just fall over asleep. :(
While allergies are being horrific, we have gotten to enjoy the beautiful side of Kansas City and my oldest helped her grandpa out by mowing his lawn (front and back)

Just yesterday we kicked of the Kansas City Corporate Challenge. The kick-off party is a HUGE event with games and activities ... and free food. It's held up at the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex and we decided that next time, Monkey will definitely have a set of headphones. She was battling noise overload (that was giving her a headache) and the urge to dance/chase bubbles. I was SO proud of how well she did overall.

So, that's the update for now. It is currently
Middle of the Map Music Fest here in KC, along with Royals games, NHL, NBA, and K-State's Spring Game. There is a wine walk and beer fest in town as well. I have completely lost my voice due to allergies, but I'm having a blast. Finally, just a reminder that #GlowAndTell is going on with
Mary Kay but time is running out! Message me for more details!
