Even though Severe Weather Awareness Week is going on RIGHT NOW, I am going to talk about it during the week of the 23rd. I will be covering things to do during severe weather, how to plan properly for them, and prevent the milk & bread shopping crazies. If there is something specific you would like covered, please comment and let me know!
I started the Whole30 challenge on March 1st. It is not a diet necessarily. I honestly do not know what will happen at the end. Right now I am still craving sweets, but not nearly as bad as day 1. I will be doing a video update at the end of each week. If you are asking what in tarnation the Whole30 is and why am I doing it ... you will want to read my blog next week! I will be giving you the 411 and what led up to my decision.
For the first time since 2000 (maybe 1999), I am participating in a 5K. I have already registered so there is no turning back now. Next week, I will tell you all about the Color Run and my push to get going on the C25K program. This is the first of many 5K's I hope to participate in ... but I want to finish one first.
The Big XII Tournament is next week here in Kansas City. All of the hotels are already booked and I will be soaking up the Uber needs! I am going to cover the very basics on my blog since I am not a sports blogger. However, I am a Wildcat through and through, so next week will be loads of fun ... especially since this year has been very tumultuous.
A week after the Big XII Tourney, March Madness begins. I fail every year with my brackets ... come fail with me!
Of course, we cannot forget St. Patrick's Day in the midst of all this. I will talk about some recipes that you can make, a little about the holiday, and some of the festivities that can be found around Kansas City.
I have had some requests for a few other things local to Kansas City, such as Taco Tuesday. If there is anything you ever want me to cover or talk on, let me know! Here are the topics I try to stick to:
- Kansas City
- Parenting kids with higher needs
- Mental, Physical, Spiritual Health
- Cause Awareness (specifically for Domestic Violence, Cancer, Poverty, Mental Health)
- Keeping kids safe
- Technology
- Natural Living

Thanks. Now we know what's to come this month! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a fun and busy time coming your way!!! A 5K, you're courageous. I love exercise and working out, but I don't like long distance running.
Have a great week~

Sounds like you have a lot going on. I'm in Vegas, and it was in the 70s today! No severe weather here.
