My life got crazy, but I have a GIVEAWAY to apologize!

This blog has been much neglected over the last few months. I apologize. I have a lot that I need to update on, but let's talk about that title first! *PS - read to the bottom to get to the entering part*

I am being compensated for this post by USFG and LEGO by being allowed to take my family to KidsFest 2016 in KC. THEY are providing the two free passes for my readers!
Two of my four kids are on the autism spectrum in one way or another. They are thick as thieves and have very similar interests. They are both WAY into Minecraft and LEGOs. However, they do have their differences. The older is way into nature and animals, while the younger is way into Super Heroes and Frozen.

Last summer, I took my kids to SeaLife and LEGOland. While not everyone was a fan, my two ASD children LOVED it. They didn't want to leave ... at all! This year, I decided that I was going to take them to LEGOland the LEGO® store in Overland Park more often.

When I found out I was selected to take my kids to the LEGO® KidFest this year AND get to give tickets to one of my readers, I was BEYOND ecstatic! Let me first tell you all about KidFest and why it is awesome ... then I'll tell you what you have to do to win!

LEGO® KidsFest here in Kansas City, MO will be May 13th through the 15th. There are several sessions to attend, but they are sure to all sell out. You will have a TON of space for hands-on learning for all ages ... a total of three acres.

Among the many LEGO attractions, families will find:

  • LEGO Model Museum: life-sized models made entirely from LEGO bricks
  • LEGO Master Builders: live demonstrations and activities from the crew who get paid to play
  • Race Ramps: build a custom car, then race it down the ramp against friends and family
  • LEGO Star Wars: build and display a Star Wars model
  • LEGO Disney Princess: create a princess scene to add to a LEGO story book
  • LEGO Super Heroes: pose with a life-sized Spiderman model and more
  • LEGO DUPLO: younger visitors can explore imagination through building
  • LEGO Retail: purchase LEGO merchandise and official KidsFest tour goods
  • LEGO Friends: build for the five empowered friends from Heartlake City
  • LEGO Ninjago: spin the way to being a Spinjitzu member
  • LEGO Mindstorms: build and program robots and snakes
  • LEGO Technic: get hands-on with the cool, realistic vehicles at the booth
  • Creation Nation: build your own creation to add to a custom map of the U.S.
  • Brick Pile: a gigantic pile full of LEGO bricks for creative play and enjoyment
  • Monochromatic Builds: bricks of a single color foster group creativity

"Our 2016 LEGO® KidsFest tour is going to delight both new and returning audiences," said Vince Rubino, Events Manager for LEGO Systems, Inc. "We've still got some favorites on the show floor, like the Big Brick Pile, Creation Nation and the Race Ramps. There are also many new and unique activities designed for building, learning and fun."

There will be 5 sessions that are all identical and 4 1/2 hours in length. As I mentioned earlier, they are sure to sell out and tickets are ONLY $19 for the sessions on Friday and Sunday afternoon, while ONLY $22 for the Saturday and Sunday morning sessions. You can find even more information and purchase your tickets at: http://legokidsfest.com/missouri-2016.html
