So, what do I mean I went into the Twilight Zone?

HOWEVER ... sometime between 10pm Friday night and 8:30am Saturday morning ... I was morphed into an alternate universe.
I woke up to get my daughter ready to head out the door for Symphony in the Flinthills and get myself to Day 2 of Wordcamp KC. The kids all got breakfast and I ran out to get my husband some fuel to get help get him moving for his work for the day. I was expecting my friend to text me a bit letting me know that my daughter was bucking him on things ... and that did happen. However, my daughter sent me a few texts talking about how much fun she was having and everything she got to do. She acknowledged that a pair of pants was definitely too small for her (side note - this was a battle we had been fighting for several weeks) and she even put the phone away to play instruments. I came home mid-afternoon to watch the kids since Starbucks (I have been requested to change her nickname based on what her friends call her) was still on the plains and Bullfrog isn't ready for that much responsibility. Bullfrog was in a fantastic mood and got things done around the house, and the girls were quiet and went to bed without a fuss. Starbucks didn't get home until after I had fallen asleep, so when my husband got home, I woke to a note written by her stating she had a great time but didn't want to wake me up to let me know when she got home. *pitter patter goes the heart*
Sunday started very similarly. I ran to get breakfast and then headed off to the third and final day of Wordcamp KC. My phone was very silent for most of the day, even after Wordcamp ended. I went to the wrap-up party at Snow & Co knowing that my husband was going to be leaving for work and I would likely be beckoned home with some sort of distress text. But that text never came and it never came. I stopped on the way home to grab the older two drinks and had a great conversation with Starbucks. There was no squabbling or snarling going on at all. Everyone got along great and the kids even worked out who was going to put away the food.
I say that I have come out of the Twilight Zone, but that's only because I started to get the recurring attitude from my eldest. Who knows though, right? Maybe it was a fluke and I'll still be in paradise tomorrow? It would be a very nice start to the work week.
Ending this post with a few more pictures taken by my daughter at the Symphony in the Flinthills and a note that there will be some big changed over the next few weeks. I am working on some big things and cannot wait to reveal them to y'all.
