Well, I see it's been about a year since I have written ... this is my new life. Life as I know it has changed. I am a single mother of a teenager that battles a lot of HARD emotional disorders and it leaves me questioning my choices each and every day. I have been working around the clock and it's affecting my ability to be a good mom, a good friend, and a good person to myself. I have lost who I once was. Now, I don't know whether that is bad or good, but I do know that there are things that have GOT to change.
Live life as if you were to die tomorrow; Learn as if you were to live forever. ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Taking my life back
Over the last few weeks, I have been battling horrifically bad depression ... complete with suicidal thoughts. I have not been eating much, hardly sleeping, and sending my energy to a very very sick friend. With him on the mend, I am in the process of taking my life back ... along with the assistance from a few friends. I decided that it was time to take to my blog because it holds me accountable.
I am 38 years old and know that my health is not in the best. I smoke, I drink, and I don't eat that great. My cholesterol levels are fine, but my white blood cell counts are high and I battle many acronym diagnoses. For you to be able to follow my journey, I feel you should know a little insight on me.
